The 2017 adidas MLS Combine is in full swing in California, and the college stars and MLS SuperDraft hopefuls have been trying to make an impression with coaches and general managers.
Off the field, though, the players have had plenty to say. MLSsoccer.com polled 63 Combine participants in its annual anonymous survey, and the Seattle Sounders and their players had quite a few mentions.
The Sounders’ home venue of CenturyLink Field tied with the LA Galaxy’s StubHub Center for the most amount of votes in a survey asking which stadium is the players’ favorite. The Sounders’ Brian Schmetzer was also tied for fourth place as the most interesting head coach.
Seattle was tied for fourth place with the Portland Timbers and LA Galaxy on the Combine players’ list of favorite MLS teams.
Forward Jordan Morris tied with Toronto FC’s Jozy Altidore on the list of favorite MLS players, with Joevin Jones, Cristian Roldan, Nicolas Lodeiro and newcomer Harry Shipp all receiving nods as well.
The Sounders have the 16th and 22nd picks in the first round of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft on Friday.
