TACOMA, WASH. – Tacoma Defiance today unveiled its full preseason schedule, which includes three friendlies ahead of the 2023 campaign, the club’s second in MLS NEXT Pro. The full 2023 regular season schedule is being announced by the league at a later date. Defiance began its preseason preparations earlier this month, with all training sessions taking place at Starfire Sports.
Media members who wish to attend Tacoma Defiance training sessions should RSVP with Kevin Kay [KevinK@SoundersFC.com] of Sounders FC Communications in order to receive details. Training sessions at Starfire Sports are open to media for photography and b-roll opportunities, followed by player and technical staff availability.
Tacoma plays its first friendly on March 3 against the University of Portland at Merlo Field before traveling to face Whitecaps FC 2 on March 10 at the National Soccer Development Centre. The club hosts Canadian Premier League side Cavalry FC on March 18 at Starfire Sports (closed to pubic) to close its preseason slate.

Tacoma’s roster currently sits at 17 players, including one goalkeeper, seven defenders, eight midfielders and one forward.
