This week on “Winging it with Zakuani,” host Steve Zakuani recaps the Sounders loss against the Portland Timbers, discusses who the Sounders’ main striker is at the moment and talks with Assistant Coach Djimi Traore about how he ended up in Seattle and his memories from winning the UEFA Champions League with Liverpool.
“To be honest, my dream was to live in America, so if I could finish my career here and try to see if I like it and stay there, that was my target,” Traore states at the 19:48 mark. “Ending up in Seattle was luck because I was looking at Chivas thinking I would go there, and then I think it was Pat Ianni who got injured, and then suddenly my agent called me and said, ‘the Sounders want to see you.’”
