- Head Coach Brian Schmetzer makes two changes from the Sounders' 3-2 loss against Minnesota United on June 1 with Ryan Kent and Jesús Ferreira replacing Paul Rothrock and Danny Musovski.
- Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei is currently sitting at 996 regular-season saves since joining Seattle prior to the 2014 season. He is looking to become the second goalkeeper in MLS history to record 1,000 saves with one club (Nick Rimando, who made 1,128 saves with Real Salt Lake).
- Sunday marks Seattle's second fixture in the 2025 Cascadia Cup race, a regional tournament played between Seattle, Portland and Vancouver. Whitecaps FC currently leads the standings with three points, while Seattle and Portland are tied with one point each. Vancouver won the 2024 Cascadia Cup title last season.
