The UCLA Athletic Department will induct Chris Henderson to its Hall of Fame on Friday, celebrating a gilded two-year college run with the Bruins for the Seattle Sounders Sporting Director.
Originally announced in June, Henderson and the seven other members of the 2016 class will be honored at halftime of UCLA football’s game against Arizona. Henderson played for the Bruins from 1989-90 under former UCLA and Sounders head coach Sigi Schmid.
The Edmonds, Wash., native is the eighth men’s soccer player to be inducted into the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame. He was an All-American as a sophomore and led UCLA to its second national championship.
Henderson has been the Sporting Director of the Sounders since 2008.
