It's that time of year again.
Major League Soccer announced on Monday that Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei is a finalist for 2021 MLS Save of the Year. Frei has been nominated for the league's top save each of the past five seasons, winning the award in 2018.
This year's edition of SOTY features Frei's ridiculous reaction save away to Real Salt Lake. After receiving the ball on the left wing, Damir Kreilach slid the ball across the box for a wide open Albert Rusnak from six yards out. Frei scrambled across the ball before making himself big, stretching his left leg to deny Rusnak's point-blank effort.

Frei and the Sounders return to action on November 23 as they host Real Salt Lake (7:30 p.m. PT; FS1, FOX Deportes, 1090 KJR AM, El Reuy 1360AM | TICKETS) in Round One of the 2021 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs at Lumen Field.
