Daaaaaaaang Clint...they even took the jersey off your back?! Those things must be selling like hot cakes!
Yep, the Seattle Sounders FC No.2 has the highest-selling jersey in Major League Soccer ahead of guys like Landon Donovan, Thierry Henry and Michael Bradley. No easy feat, I might add, but he's Clint "Captain America" Dempsey...so color me not surprised by this news.
What might be slightly surprising though is second-year defender DeAndre Yedlin made the Top 15, coming in at a cool 10th overall, ahead of guys like perennial goal threat Chris Wondolowski and Philadelphia Union Designated Player Maurice Edu. That kid is going places.
These numbers are based off of the sales from MLS' merch websites MLSGear.com and MLSGearCanada.ca...so those rankings don't include the billions of No.2 and No.17 jerseys that the fine folks at the Sounders Pro Shop have seen flying off the shelves all year. Regardless, good stuff. Doubt these numbers change much either. #Deuce4Lyfe.
