As Sounders FC faces Sporting Kansas City this Sunday in a Western Conference battle nationally televised on FS1 (7:00 p.m. PT / YouTube TV, 950 KJR FM, El Rey 1360 AM), fans can look forward to several special elements, headlined by the team wearing its popular Nightfall secondary kits for only the second time at home this season.
Stadium graphics for the evening’s game will be tailored to the Nightfall theme and the first 10,000 guests to enter CenturyLink Field will receive exclusive Nightfall-themed socks courtesy of matchday sponsor CHI Franciscan. Nightfall gear is currently available at the club’s retail Pro Shop locations and online, and will be featured in the CenturyLink Field Pro Shop on Sunday.
From 12:00-6:30 p.m. on matchday, RAVE Foundation is hosting a pre-match celebration at Flatstick Pub in Pioneer Square with activities, raffles and giveaways. In turn, Flatstick is donating $2 to RAVE Foundation for every beer sold, not only this Sunday, but each Sunday throughout August. Fans are encouraged to stop by for a drink and a chance to win exclusive prizes before taking part in the March to the Match and heading to the stadium.
Young fans can take advantage of the RAVE octagon – an enclosed setup for futsal play – outside the northwest corner of the stadium before heading inside. Along with the octagon, there will be a booth for information and registration for the annual Rave Green Run. Fans registering on Sunday will be able to do so at a discounted rate.
Sounders FC alum Roger Levesque will also appear at the Rave Green Run booth from 6:15-6:45 p.m. PT to sign autographs and meet fans.
Seattle SuperSonics legend Jack Sikma, whose #43 jersey is retired in the rafters at KeyArena and is a 2019 inductee into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, will join Sounders FC to lead the crowd in Scarves Up immediately prior to kickoff.
Later, at halftime, Levesque will join RAVE Foundation for a special on-field surprise presentation to kids from underserved communities, all thanks to Rave Green Run presenting sponsor, CHI Franciscan.
Sounders FC currently sits in second place in the Western Conference, one point ahead of the LA Galaxy and San Jose Earthquakes and 11 points shy of Supporters’ Shield-leading LAFC and returns home on Sunday following a 1-0 road win at Houston this past Saturday.
