SEATTLE, WASH. – Sounders FC today announced that it has acquired $250,000 in 2022 General Allocation Money (GAM) from FC Dallas in exchange for a 2022 International Roster Slot. The move brings Seattle’s number of International Roster Slots to seven ahead of the 2022 campaign, as preseason camp continues this week from Tucson, Arizona.
Sounders FC now has one open International Roster Slot, with six current international players on the roster: Xavier Arreaga, Abdoulaye Cissoko, Léo Chú, Yeimar Gómez Andrade, João Paulo and Nouhou.
The Rave Green are currently in Tucson, Arizona as part of the club’s 2022 preseason training slate, ahead of a Concacaf Champions League home-and-away matchup with Honduran side F.C. Motagua in mid-February and the kickoff of the MLS season on Sunday, February 27, when Sounders FC hosts Nashville SC.
