SEATTLE, WASH. – Sounders FC (0-1-1, 1 point) drew 0-0 with Austin FC (0-1-1, 1 point) on Saturday night on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field. It marked the first home match of the 2024 campaign for Seattle, as the Rave Green recorded their first clean-sheet and earned the first point of the 2024 campaign.
As part of Saturday’s festivities, Sounders FC honored the career of Osvaldo Alonso, who signed a one-day contract earlier this week to retire as a member of the club where he began his MLS career. Brian Schmetzer’s side returns to action with a road match next Saturday, March 9 against the Philadelphia Union at Subaru Park (4:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).

- Sounders FC celebrated the career of club legend Osvaldo Alonso on Saturday. Alonso signed a one-day contract this week to officially retire as a member of Sounders FC, and was honored by the club pregame and during halftime of today’s match. Over 10 seasons in Seattle, Alonso led the club to eight major trophies, earning four MLS All-Star selections and one MLS Best XI honor. His 339 appearances across all competitions are the most by a field player in the MLS era of the club.
