SEATTLE, WASH. – Seattle Sounders FC is inviting fans to arrive early to Friday’s match vs. D.C. United (8:00 p.m. PT / UniMas, JOEtv, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360 AM) and take part in Stars, Stripes & Sounders Celebration at CenturyLink Field. The stadium’s northwest gate is set to open 5:00 p.m. PT so fans can gather at the CenturyLink Field North Plaza to take advantage of food and beverage specials, as well as live music, games and other festivities ahead of the 8:00 p.m. PT kickoff.
Beginning at 5:00 p.m. PT, ticketed fans can enter the northwest gate and gain access to the North Plaza, where the festivities are being held. Stars, Stripes & Sounders features food and beverage specials – which are being offered until 6:30 p.m. PT – that include $2 hot dogs, $2 sodas and $5 domestic beer pints, as well as free cotton candy and snow cones. Live music will be provided by Combinator, a Seattle-based soul/funk band that will perform until 7:00 p.m. PT.
Friday’s celebration also includes festivities such as an Xbox One station with FIFA ’15, giant Jenga, cornhole, balloonists, a photo booth and a dunk tank, where fans have the opportunity to dunk former-Sounder and current Director of Community Outreach Roger Levesque.
The first 1,000 attendees will receive a free t-shirt giveaway upon admission, while MatchPass members can earn three-times the early arrival points. Additionally, fans can receive 20% off all 2015 home, away, third kit and goalkeeper jerseys at the CenturyLink Field Pro Shop (in-store only, discount may not be combined) from July 3-5.
