Returning home from a 1-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo on Saturday, Sounders FC now faces a quick turnaround to a midweek match this Wednesday night, hosting Austin FC on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field (7:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
Stadium gates open at 6:00 p.m. PT on Wednesday. Fans wishing to take part in the Emerald City Supporters’ official March to Match should gather in Occidental Square Park, with the march departing at 6:30 p.m. PT on its way to the stadium.
With a summer-like weather forecast, Wednesday provides a prime opportunity to travel to the stadium by bicycle. For those cycling to the game, Sounders FC offers a complimentary bike valet program presented by Providence, as Providence extends its green initiatives through its partnership with Sounders FC. As part of Providence’s vision of health for a better world, it is committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions in an effort to become carbon negative. Across the health system, Providence is making meaningful changes that have reduced emissions by 11.5 percent per year, compared to its 2019 baseline. More about Providence’s commitment to environmental stewardship and progress can be found here.
The bike valet program is available at all of Sounders FC’s MLS regular-season matches through September 1. Located on Occidental Avenue near the north parking lot of the stadium, bicycles can be parked with the bike valet – operated by Cascade Bicycle Club – starting two hours before kickoff and must be claimed no later than one hour after the final whistle.
Fans are reminded that Sounders FC is partnering with CLEAR again this season to help entry into Lumen Field go quickly and smoothly. Just download the free CLEAR App, sign up and then enter through designated CLEAR lanes located at the northwest gates.
At The Pro Shop at Lumen Field, fans can browse a wide selection of Sounders FC gear, such as replica Bruce Lee Kits – including women’s and youth – which have now been delivered by adidas and are freshly in stock. Additionally, the 2024 Pride-themed warmup tops, which will be worn by each MLS club at matches throughout the month of June in celebration of Pride, are on sale at the Pro Shop and MLSStore.com starting today, Monday, May 15.
All of Sounders FC’s warmup tops for themed league initiatives – which this year include Pride, Americana, Kick Childhood Cancer and Latinx Heritage – feature the Providence Swedish mark as the club and jersey partner Providence highlight the unification of the Providence and Swedish brands, which provides the Puget Sound region a powerful network of skilled physicians, award-winning care centers, advanced clinical research and breakthrough treatments. Providence Swedish serves as the Official Medical Services Provider and Official Healthcare Provider of Sounders FC, with physicians from Swedish Medical Group serving as Sounders FC’s team doctors.
The 2024 Pride warmup top is currently on sale and will be featured on-field beginning in June. At the club’s annual Pride Match on June 24, Sounders FC is hosting a special online matchday auction of player-worn and autographed Pride warmup tops and Pride jerseys. Proceeds will benefit organizations that advocate for LGBTQ+ students, including Renton School District’s LGBTQ+ clubs and Athlete Ally, which champions LGBTQI+ athletes through sport. Funds raised are being matched by Providence as part of its commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community and youth mental health. This special auction is hosted in partnership with RAVE Foundation, the official charitable partner of Sounders FC. More information will be shared ahead of June 24.
Once in the stadium on Wednesday, fans can enjoy the continuation of Sounders FC’s BIPOC and diverse-owned food truck and pop-up restaurants, presented by First & Goal Inc. and Levy. Curated by Intentionalist, these local small businesses align with Sounders FC’s social impact and cultural calendar, giving fans the opportunity to discover new culinary delights with food trucks in Lumen Field’s North Plaza and a pop-up restaurant location in Lumen Field’s PNW Marketplace concessions area, located in the east concourse outside of Section 113. In the month of May, featured businesses are all AANHPI-owned, in recognition of AANHPI Heritage Month.
Wednesday’s featured North Plaza food trucks are Big Boys Kainan, serving up delicious Filipino / Hawaiian fusion, and Seoul Bowl, offering make-your-own healthy, fresh and colorful Korean BBQ bowls made from ethically farmed ingredients.
The PNW Marketplace features Seattle Fish Guys, where husband and wife team Sal Panelo and Desiree Chin provide a variety of fresh seafood dishes including poke, oysters and chowder, and Raised Doughnuts, offering sweet treats baked by pastry chef Mi Kim and her business partner I-Miun Liu.
Throughout the stadium, fans can explore and participate in a wide variety of activities, which on Wednesday include:
• The Providence Challenge (NEW) – Fans can test their soccer and mental skills through three different activities at The Providence Challenge, as well as having the opportunity to take the Providence Pledge to promise to better their mental health. All participating fans will be entered to win an autographed Sounders FC jersey or a pair of tickets to an upcoming home match.
• Crossbar Challenge, Presented by Western Washington Toyota Dealers – The first five fans to hit the crossbar in this interactive skills challenge earn a chance to take a kick on-field at halftime. If a fan hits a crossbar at halftime, Western Washington Toyota Dealers donates $1,000 to RAVE Foundation.
• Sounders Penalty Kick – A digital activation where fans get five chances to score a goal against a virtual goalkeeper.
• Soccer Skee-ball – This activation allows fans to play a soccer-themed version of Skee-Ball, kicking a ball down a ramp, rather than rolling it, in order to score as many points as possible.
• Soccer Billiards – Fans can play a soccer-themed version of pool, challenging a partner and kicking colored soccer balls into the oversized pool table pockets before their opponent does.
• RAVE 2026 Kick Experience – Learn about RAVE Foundation’s 26 Fields by 2026 campaign and attempt to kick a soccer ball through a hole.
• FIFA Gaming Station – Challenge an opponent to a friendly match of FIFA ’23.

• Sounders ‘Til I Die Instagram Wall – Themed photo opportunity for fans to grab the perfect social media shot.
Fans should plan to be in seats ahead of kickoff to enjoy all of Sounders FC’s pre-match traditions, from Boom, Boom, Clap to player lineup announcements.
Sunday’s national anthem is being performed Brittany Davis, a blind, BIPOC and nonbinary local musician who uses their musical talent to speak about issues affecting marginalized communities.
The “Scarves Up!” moment is being led by SeattleFWC26 Chief Executive Officer Peter Tomozawa, ahead of SeattleFWC26 – the local organizing committee charged with readying Seattle for the FIFA World Cup 2026 – unveiling its official World Cup branding on Thursday. Tomozawa, who is also a part of Sounders FC’s ownership group, served as the club’s President of Business Operations from 2019 through early 2023, when he transitioned to take on the top leadership position with SeattleFWC26 to lead the Emerald City’s preparations to host the world’s biggest sporting event.
At halftime, RAVE Foundation is celebrating its collaboration with Black Players for Change – a nationally recognized nonprofit organization consisting of over 170 Black players, coaches and staff within Major League Soccer – and the U.S. Soccer Foundation. Together, the entities are bringing a mini-pitch to Olympic View K-8 in the Federal Way Public School District that is available for student use during the school day and open to the community after school hours. The special project is being recognized at Wednesday’s match, with full details and media opportunities to follow.
