RENTON, Wash. – The Seattle Sounders FC announced today registration is now available for the inaugural International Family Festival to be held at CenturyLink Field on June 30. The festival features two sessions that include cultural displays, arts and crafts, music, and other children’s activities.
Sounders FC players scheduled to attend include forward Will Bates (U.S.), midfielder Servando Carrasco (U.S./Mexico), forward David Estrada (U.S./Mexico), goalkeeper Michael Gspurning (Austria), midfielder Philip Lund (Denmark) and forward Lamar Neagle (U.S.).
The goal of the festival is to bring together fans, coaches and players and celebrate the diversity of their heritage and culture. The activities include international cultural displays by local ethnic communities, arts and crafts, music, tifo banner making, face painting, and other children’s activities. The festival will also feature a behind-the-scenes tour of the Sounders FC locker room, the opportunity to meet current Sounders FC players and a 10-percent discount on all Sounders FC merchandise.
Registration for each of the two-hour sessions is $10. Children under the age of four are free and do not need to register. The first 150 Junior Alliance members will receive free admission with a paid adult.
