Tomorrow, June 29, as Sounders FC hosts CF Montréal (7:00 p.m. PT / FOX 13+, 93.3 KJR FM, El Rey 1360 AM) in a game presented by matchday sponsor Michelob Ultra, the club continues its Summer With The Champs celebration with a variety of matchday activities available to fans.
With a stretch of five home matches over four weeks, Summer With The Champs is an invitation to fans – young and old, new and established – to come out to experience summertime fun at Lumen Field with Sounders FC through enjoying a variety of entertaining matchday themes and elements. The festivities culminate on July 9, when the Rave Green will unveil the team’s 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League banner in the rafters at Lumen Field and celebrate their historic continental title ahead of taking on archrival Portland.
Wednesday’s match includes plenty for animal lovers, as it marks the first-ever “Pups at the Pitch” event at Lumen Field. Presented by The Farmer’s Dog, Pups at the Pitch allows fans to bring their dogs to the match, seated in a designated section.
To attend, specific Pup Pack tickets must be purchased in advance through SoundersFC.com/Pups. The deadline to buy Pup Pack tickets is 3:00 p.m. PT today; no walk-up Pup Pack tickets will be sold, and no dogs will be admitted with any other ticket. A $50 Pup Pack ticket includes one human and one dog ticket, seated in a designated section in the upper level. Additional human tickets for this section are available for $25. All Pup Pack attendees must enter through the northeast gate.
In addition to admission to the game, members of the Pup Pack also receive exclusive entrance to the Pups & Pints beer garden presented by The Farmer’s Dog and Michelob Ultra, which is available in the North Plaza tomorrow evening. Next to the beer garden, all fans can visit with The Farmer’s Dog through halftime to receive real, human-grade dog food samples and giveaways while supplies last. Sounders FC fans can also receive a special discount on their first box of The Farmer’s Dog.
On the way to the stadium, fans can stop by activation areas outside the northwest gates to take advantage of several partner activities, including a mobile gym presented by Michelob Ultra and a booth from The Farmer’s Dog to give all fans – even those without tickets to enter the match – a chance to receive free samples and giveaways while supplies last, and discounts on a first box of food.
Inside gates, Seattle Humane’s MaxMobile is available in the North Plaza, where fans have the chance to meet adorable pups, pick up dog-friendly giveaways and learn more about adoptions, services and ways to get involved with Seattle Humane.
The North Plaza, Northwest Marshalling and West Concourse of the stadium are also where fans can find a selection of interactive games and activities, including:
• Pose with a Pro – An augmented reality experience that allows fans to have a virtual meeting with their favorite Sounders FC player, alongside a digital video of their encounter to share online.
• Sounders Penalty Kick – A digital activation where fans get five chances to score a goal against a virtual goalkeeper.
• Soccer Skee-ball – This activation allows fans to play a soccer-themed version of Skee-Ball, kicking a ball down a ramp, rather than rolling it, in order to score as many points as possible.
• Soccer Billiards – Fans can play a soccer-themed version of pool, challenging a partner and kicking colored soccer balls into the oversized pool table pockets before their opponent does.
Continental Tire is also onsite with a free scarf giveaway for fans, and El Jimador is offering a photo mosaic experience for those 21 years of age and older.
Fans shouldn’t forget to make time to take a photo with the 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League trophy, which is on display and available for photo opportunities in the Southwest Field Plaza.
The United States national anthem is being performed by Jonathan Wright, while a bilingual version of the Canadian national anthem is being performed by Elizabeth Irving.
Of note to fans, the evening’s pregame ceremonies and national anthem will not include pyrotechnics or fireworks, out of respect for the canine guests in attendance.
Immediately before kickoff, “Scarves Up!” is being led by Seattle Humane representatives with special assistance from several soccer-loving Seattle Humane pups.
A special “Pup Showcase” is taking place at halftime, bringing attention to all of the dogs in need of loving families at Seattle Humane.
