Following a postseason-clinching 4-0 win over FC Dallas last weekend, Sounders FC closes out its regular season this Sunday with a Decision Day matchup vs. the Colorado Rapids on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field (1:00 p.m. PT / JOEtv, Univision-Seattle, 107.7 The End, El Rey 1360 AM). Fans are in for an exciting match, as Seattle battles for a win to secure sole possession of second place in the Western Conference and a bye in the 2017 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs Knockout Round. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to take advantage of the wide array of Fan Appreciation Day activities occurring before and throughout the important match.
The day’s festivities begin in The NINETY at 10:30 a.m. PT, where fans can stop by to see Seattle’s trophy case – including the 2016 MLS Cup – and enjoy a mimosa or Bloody Mary while watching a replay of last season’s thrilling Decision Day victory that sent the Rave Green into their championship destiny.
Starting at 11:00 a.m. PT at the March to the Match in Occidental Park, host Ken Carson is set to have a number of special fan appreciation giveaways for those in attendance, and Jason Rantz is scheduled to speak to Wade Webber and Danny Jackson for a Decision Day edition of Matchday Insider. The March itself, one of the best traditions in American sports started by the Emerald City Supporters, departs from Occidental Park at 12:00 p.m. PT, making its way to CenturyLink Field.
Gates open at 11:30 a.m. PT, with the first 20,000 fans at the stadium to receive an exclusive 2017 Sounders FC team poster, presented by Nissan.
During warmups, Allstate is presenting RAVE Foundation with a check for funds raised through Allstate’s season-long Saves for Youth program. For every Sounders FC save this year, $100 was pledged, and to date Allstate has donated $8,700.
At halftime, Sounders FC and Nissan are providing four lucky fans the chance to take part in a competition on the pitch to win a brand new 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport™. Additionally, two check presentations are scheduled. PwC is presenting funds raised from their season-long Goals for Success program to the Boys & Girls Club of King County (Youthforce). Throughout the year, PwC pledged $500 for every Sounders FC home goal scored, bringing the current total to $18,000. CenturyLink will also present a check for their season-long Crossbar Challenge program to Special Olympics Washington. CenturyLink donated $2,500 each time a Crossbar Challenge participant hit the crossbar in the halftime contest, and $500 even when missed, for a donation total of $25,000.

During the postmatch ceremony, while the club thanks its fans, one special fan will also be honored with the presentation of the MatchPass Fan of the Year Award. This is the fifth season that Sounders FC has honored a Season Ticket Member with the coveted award. The recipient is set to receive a trip for two to a 2018 road match.
The opportunities for fans don’t end once the match has concluded, however. Season Ticket Members can take part in a Season Ticket Member Garage Sale in The NINETY postgame, where they have the opportunity to buy exclusive Sounders FC items ranging from jerseys to training gear to promotional items. All proceeds benefit the RAVE Foundation. Items are available on a first come, first served basis and are limited to two per member.
In addition, Sounders FC fans can receive 50% off entry into G2 Gaming Experiential Entertainment at the CenturyLink Event Center on Sunday, October 22 following the match. To redeem, fans need only show their matchday ticket post-match at the CenturyLink Field Event Center box office to receive the discount and explore the exciting tech elements on display.

Currently tied for second in the Western Conference, seeding for the 2017 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs is still wide open, with the Rave Green able to finish anywhere from second to fifth. Brian Schmetzer's club controls its own destiny for a bye in the Knockout Round, as a win on Sunday would secure the second seed out of the Western Conference.
