Sounders FC today announced a new addition to club programming for the 2020 season: Off the Bar, presented by Derby Restaurant. Off the Bar provides fans of the Rave Green with an exciting new avenue to follow the team, as it brings together club insiders past and present to give viewers a unique look beyond matchday. The show premieres tonight at 6:30 p.m. PT, aired on JOEtv and Sounders FC’s YouTube channel.
Going forward for the duration of the 2020 season, Off the Bar is being broadcast on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. PT biweekly.
Hosted by Q13 sports anchor and reporter Michelle Ludkta, Off the Bar also features former Sounders and current members of the Sounders FC broadcast team Marcus Hahnemann, Steve Zakuani and Brad Evans as regular co-hosts, blending soccer stories and team news with lifestyle segments and other unique angles, as well as bringing on special guests from Sounders FC, the club’s technical staff and other notable Seattle athletes and personalities.
The show is filmed at presenting partner Derby Restaurant in SoDo, a new Sounders FC Pub Partner in 2020. Taping dates and times for Off the Bar will vary, but fans are welcome to visit Derby to observe the broadcasts and grab a meal while the show is being filmed. Those interested should follow Sounders FC’s social media channels for updates on specific taping details.
Derby is located in The Shop in SoDo and offers Sounders FC fans a unique option for gatherings with its dining backdrop of a private automotive museum featuring classic and exotic vehicles. Derby is open seven days a week and prepares classic comfort foods, while the full bar carries a wide selection of northwest beers, bourbon and scotch. With close proximity to CenturyLink Field, Derby provides parking and a free shuttle service for select home games, in addition to happy hour deals and tours of the private facility available on weekends.
