SEATTLE, WASH. – Sounders FC today announced that the club’s international friendly against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, July 8 has been moved to 12:00 p.m. PT on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field. The friendly against the German side was previously scheduled for 1:00 p.m. PT, but has been pushed up an hour to allow fans to watch the U.S. Men’s National Team begin its 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup action with a clash against Panama at 1:30 p.m. PT in Nashville, with national television coverage on FOX and Univision Networks. All current tickets and parking passes to the July 8 match are valid, regardless of kickoff time change.
Immediately following the friendly, Sounders FC is hosting a viewing party of the Gold Cup match in the CenturyLink Field North Plaza. All ticketed fans to the Eintracht Frankfurt match are encouraged to stay and watch USA-Panama, with further details on the viewing party being announced at a later date. Three Sounders FC players have been included on Bruce Arena’s USMNT preliminary roster for the Gold Cup – midfielder Cristian Roldan and forwards Clint Dempsey and Jordan Morris – while defender Román Torres captains the Panama squad.
After a 2-1 win over the Portland Timbers in the Fourth Round of the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday, Sounders FC returns to MLS action this Saturday with a trip to Yankee Stadium in the lone matchup of the season against New York City FC (10:00 a.m. PT / ESPN, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360 AM). Brian Schmetzer’s club then returns home for a mid-week clash with Orlando City SC on June 21 (7:30 p.m. PT / JOEtv, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360 AM) before heading down to Portland for another fixture against the club’s southern Cascadia rivals on Sunday, June 25 (1:00 p.m. PT / ESPN, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360 AM).
