Sounders FC U-18 midfielder Samuel Gomez has been selected to participate in U-20 Honduran National Team training camp from March 16-19 in Siguatepeque, Honduras. The camp gives the squad an opportunity to begin early preparations for the upcoming 2015 U-20 FIFA World Cup May 30-June 20 in New Zealand. Placed in Group F, Honduras will face opponents Germany, Fiji and Uzbekistan.
Gomez has appeared in 21 matches and contributed four goals this season. Sounders FC U-18 currently sits at the top of the standings in the Northwest Division of the U.S Soccer Development Academy League with a 17-4-2 record.
