The Cascadia rivalry between the Sounders and the Vancouver Whitecaps is coming to the Concacaf Champions Cup.
Following the Seattle Sounders’ Leagues Cup title win in 2025, the club earned an automatic spot in the Concacaf Champions Cup’s Round of 16.
The Dec. 9 CCC draw determined that based on the results of Round One, the Sounders would face Costa Rican football club C.S. Cartaginés or the Whitecaps.
The opening round found the Whitecaps on top, drawing Cartaginés 0-0 in Leg 1 before defeating them 2-0 in the second leg on Feb. 25 to advance to the Round of 16, where they will meet the Rave Green.
The two MLS sides will kick off CCC competition on March 12 at BC Place before facing each other at ONE Spokane Stadium on March 18 at 8 p.m. for Leg 2. Timing of Leg 1 is to be determined.
It will be a competitive Round of 16 to say the least as the Whitecaps look to collect their first-ever continental cup after falling short in 2025 to reigning champions Cruz Azul. The Sounders will be on the prowl for their second CCC trophy to place next to their 2022 hardware.
Tickets for the Leg 2, March 18 match go on sale on Friday, Feb. 27 at 9 a.m. Grab a seat at ONE Spokane Stadium and cheer on the Rave Green toward continental glory!
