What a lovely treat that was. Four goals before halftime and the Sounders were cruising. A pair of goals from both Obafemi Martins and Andy Rose gave Seattle an impressive 4-2 victory over Chivas USA, further extending the club's lead atop the Major League Soccer standings.
There was a little rough patch in there, but Sigi Schmid and co. have apparently sorted it all out with the stretch run upon us. After this short break, another five matches in quick succession before a banner finish. Strap in, people...it's going to be a bumpy ride.
For now though, let's sit back and enjoy all the fun that was #CHVvSEA.
Ozzie is always a great way to start the day. Just look at that stud muffin.
There was a pre-match panoramic photograph. #telling
Not a bad lineup right there. Not bad at all.
And now in Instagram form!
Hey look! Marco scored for Guatemala! We’re so proud of him.
Best song ever.
And we were off!
Well that didn’t take long!
Just so nice, you guys.
And then there was two.
We love our Marco!
Now Andy wanted in on the fun! What a goal it was.
My coworker Mike Morris really enjoyed this tweet.
And just like that…
I switched up the words again. Sorry ECS.
Not too shabby at all, LIVESounders.
And Marco had a brace for Guatemala!
Fast forward a bit and the Sounders have three more points.
All the fun was had on that day.
Here look…check it out for yourself!
Oh Ozzie, the hearts, the hearts.
