Thursday was a pretty big day for Sounders FC. The club and broadcast partner Q13 FOX announced an extension of their partnership live on the morning news, with Head Coach Sigi Schmid making an appearance, as well as new right back Tyrone Mears. The announcement was given by Q13 anchor Bill Wixey, who along with fellow anchor Kaci Aitchison rocked a Sounders FC scarf and looked great on a set that was decked out in Rave Green and Sounders Blue. Following the announcement, Aaron Levine interviewed Schmid about the upcoming season, the club's mentality and how preseason has been going. Later in the hour, Mears tried his hand at doing the weather, which made for some great soundbites. In other words, it was a very entertaining morning.
