After a busy start to their inaugural season, the recent holiday weekend marked some well-deserved time off this weekend for the undefeated group of Sounders FC 2 players. They kept busy by celebrating a birthday, watching hockey and enjoying some quality grub on Easter. The team will return from the bye week next Saturday when it faces Portland Timbers 2 in Week 4.
"I thought we put in a really good performance against Vancouver and after training the rest of the week, it was nice to get a few days off to get our legs back under us," said defender Nick Miele. "The focus switches to Portland for us to be prepared for what they want to do and see if we can stop them this weekend."
"It was good to give the guys time to refresh, but now we’re back to get ready for Saturday," said Head Coach Ezra Hendrickson. Scoring four goals in each of the last two games, the team hopes to use the break as a chance to recharge and get back out there to do it again.
Saturday's game against T2 is at 7:30 p.m. PT at Starfire Stadium, and tickets are available here. You can also watch the match live on SoundersFC.com.
