Oh what a day! The sun loomed over Seattle on Sunday afternoon. The Rave Green waited in the wings, rebuilt, restocked and reloaded. Obafemi Martins prepared to make his return, Nelson Valdez and Román Torres prepared to make their debut, and Kaká, well, he didn’t know what was coming.
AND IT WAS AMAZING!
What a lovely day! Oba continued to beg the question: is he a man or is he a goal machine? Valdez decided to set up shop in Seattle (and boy are we glad), and overall, Seattleites went mental as the Sounders tied their all-time largest margin of victory with four goals and a shutout!
Now that we have all had time to wake up, have our coffee, come to our senses and realize that NO WE WERE NOT DREAMING, we can look back on it and say OMG! Could you believe what you were watching? The Sounders we know and love were back, and three points were on the board. We could all go to bed, hanging our hats on a four-nil win, knowing our goal machine was fully functioning at a higher level than when it was broken.
