On the same night Cristian Roldan earned his first cap with the U.S. Men's National Team, Jordan Morris - his Sounders teammate, roommate on the road and all-around BFF - recorded his first career brace for the Stars and Stripes in a wild 3-2 win against Martinique in the second group stage match of the 2017 Gold Cup. It was a night to remember for Sounders supporters, who also saw current Sounder Jordy Delem and former Sounder Kevin Parsemain perform admirably for Martinique.
The win launches the U.S. to the top of the group table ahead of the final group stage match against Nicaragua on Saturday, July 15 at 4 p.m. PT at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. It also led to a Rave Green-filled Twitter timeline yesterday evening. Let's take a look:
