LINEUP NOTES:
- Sounders FC is deploying a 4-2-3-1 formation with six changes from last weekend’s match at Toronto FC: Stefan Frei, Kelyn Rowe, Albert Rusnák, Cristian Roldan, Jordan Morris and Raúl Ruidíaz replace Stefan Cleveland, Jimmy Medranda, Danny Leyva, Dylan Teves, Léo Chú and Fredy Montero.
- Ruidíaz returns to the starting lineup in his first start June 14 vs. Vancouver after suffering a hamstring injury. The Peruvian is tied for the team lead with five MLS goals this season.
- Sounders FC Assistant Coaches Preki and Andy Rose are not at today’s game (Health & Safety Protocols).
- This marks the first matchup between Sounders FC and the Portland Timbers of 2022. It is the 115th all-time meeting between Seattle and Portland dating back to the North American Soccer League in 1975, with Seattle leading the series 56-43-15.
