2024 RECORDS AND STANDINGS: Sounders: 2-5-3 (9 points, 12th West), Galaxy.: 5-2-3 (18 points, 1st West)

FORM GUIDE (most recent first): Seattle: WLLDW, LA.: LWWLW

PREVIOUS MEETING: The LA Galaxy defeated the Seattle Sounders 1-0 at Dignity Health Sports Park back on March 30, with Gabriel Pec scoring the game-winning goal for the hosts in the 4th minute.

MAINTAIN MOMENTUM: The Sounders are coming off an emotional 3-2 victory over Eastern Conference powerhouse Philadelphia Union on Tuesday. After handing Philly just their second home loss in the last 13 months, the Rave Green will look to carry that form back to Lumen Field this weekend.

YOUTH DAY: Sunday marks the club's annual Youth Day match, with plenty of fun activations and in-match elements centered around young soccer fans. Arrive early to get your Orca Foam Waver, courtesy of Providence, and enjoy a pre-match performance from Seattle-based local youth musician Nikhil Bagga at the Brougham End Beer Hall. You can find out more information on the Youth Day festivities HERE.

PLAYER AVAILABILITY: Goalkeeper Stefan Frei will be available for selection after having his red card against D.C. United rescinded by the Independent Review Panel. Center back Jackson Ragen is eligible to return as well after serving his one-game suspension against D.C. United following his red card against the Vancouver Whitecaps. Alex Roldan, who was also sent off against the Whitecaps, will not be available on Sunday as he was given an additional one-game suspension by the MLS Disciplinary Committee.

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE: The Rave Green are unbeaten in their last seven home matches against the Galaxy, posting a 5-0-2 record at Lumen Field in that span. Their last loss to LA on home soil came back on July 9, 2016.

ATTACKING FIREPOWER: The Galaxy boast the most potent attack in the Western Conference with 21 goals scored from just 10 matches this season. LA's front four of Dejan Joveljic, Joseph Paintsil, Riqui Puig and Gabriel Pec have combined for 15 of the squad's goals.

DEFENSIVE VULNERABILITIES: While their attack has been explosive thus far in 2024, the Galaxy have shown some weaknesses at the back. Their 17 goals allowed is the fourth-highest total among teams in the West.

ONE TO WATCH: Signed from Belgian club Genk in the offseason, Joseph Paintsil has been an MVP contender for the Galaxy this season. The Ghanaian international has already notched four goals and four assissts from just 838 MLS minutes.
