Fan Appreciation Night

SIX-POINTERS: Saturday begins the first of the final four matches of the regular season, all of which are against teams right around Seattle in the Western Conference table. The Sounders will finish the season with games against the Dynamo, Vancouver Whitecaps, Colorado Rapids and Portland Timbers, all four of whom are within six total points of each other.
FAN APPRECIATION: This weekend marks the club's annual Fan Appreciation Night. Arrive early for a chance to meet First Team players in the concourse pre-match, participate in a meet and greet with club legend and two-time MLS Cup champion Román Torres, and receive a carnation as part of our time-honored tradition that dates back to 1974. Fans are also encouraged to be in their seats by 7:15 p.m. for a special presentation celebrating the connection between our players and fans ahead of kickoff.
LATINX HERITAGE NIGHT: The club is celebrating Latinx Heritage Night on Saturday, which includes vibrant music and delicious food trucks (El Cabrito, MexiCuban) in the North Plaza. Fans who purchase a Latinx Celebration ticket will receive a limited-edition Latinx Heritage Month Celebration hat.
HOUSTON HAS A PROBLEM: The Sounders have lost just once to the Dynamo in their last 13 meetings in all competitions (11-1-1) dating back to 2017.
MORRIS MOMENTUM: Sounders forward Jordan Morris is coming off a brace last time out and has set a career-high with 13 goals this season.
DEFENSIVE BATTLE: Saturday’s contest features the best two defensive teams in the West, with the Dynamo and Sounders having only conceded 33 and 34 goals, respectively, this season. Only Columbus Crew SC has been breached less than Houston in 2024.
AWAY SUCCESS: In an unusual trend given the extreme summer heat and humidity in Houston, the Dynamo have been a far better team on the road this season. Houston has three more road wins than home victories and has taken 26 points away from home versus just 22 at Shell Energy Stadium.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Ezequiel Ponce, F
Houston made a splash in the summer transfer window by acquiring Ponce for a club-record fee from Greek side AEK Athens. The 27-year-old Argentine has hit the ground running, recording three goals in his first seven matches in MLS.
