- Seattle Sounders Head Coach Brian Schmetzer makes two alterations to the starting lineup that defeated the San Jose Earthquakes 1-0 in Week 30, with Nicolás Lodeiro replacing Víctor Rodríguez and Román Torres coming in for Xavier Arreaga.


- Rodríguez misses the match with an internal oblique injury, while Lodeiro earns the start after missing two matches through injury.


- Torres returns to the starting lineup for the first time since the team’s road victory over the Houston Dynamo on July 27. Arreaga is unavailable for selection, as he is serving a one-game suspension after picking up a pair of yellow cards against the Earthquakes.
