The next couple of weeks will be action packed for the Seattle Sounders.
Back from their 12-day stint in Southern California, the team will spend the next couple of days training at Starfire Sports. There’s a new face in the group, as Designated Player João Paulo has joined the club and started training with the First Team. Additionally, midfielder Cristian Roldan and Jordan Morris are back with the team after participating in January Camp with the United States Men’s National Team.
On Wednesday, the Rave Green will host USL Championship side Sacramento Republic in a closed-door scrimmage at CenturyLink Field at 11:00 a.m. PT. The team will then head to Mexico on February 6 for the second phase of preseason, with scrimmages against Liga MX competition expected.
With Concacaf Champions League just over the horizon, the team will fly directly to San Pedro Sula from Mexico City on February 18 ahead of Leg One of the Round of 16 clash with C.D. Olimpia.
