What a week for Víctor Rodríguez!
On Monday night, Rodriguez's wife gave birth to the couple's first child, Astrid, in Barcelona. Just five days earlier, the 28-year-old midfielder scored his first career MLS goal in a 3-0 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps at CenturyLink Field. Following the match, Rodríguez flew to Spain to accompany his wife. She gave birth at 10:30 p.m. PT on Monday (7:30 a.m. Tuesday in Barcelona).
He posted a photo of him and his daughter on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon, with the caption "😍 ASTRiD😍 Felicidad completa," meaning “complete happiness.”
