Seattle Sounders midfielder Gustav Svensson came on as a substitute for Sweden in the 66th minute on Tuesday in a wild 3-3 draw with Norway in Oslo in an UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifying match.
Bjørn Johnsen opened the scoring for Norway in the 41st minute before Joshua King doubled the lead in the 59th minute. Sweden then stormed back with three unanswered goals in 21 minutes to take a late lead behind goals from Viktor Claesson, an own goal from Håvard Nordtveit and a 91st-minute go-ahead tally from Robin Quaison. Norway equalized in the 96th minute off a header from former LA Galaxy striker Ola Kamara to split the points.
Svensson came off the bench for the second straight match after helping the BlĂĄgult defeat Romania 2-1 last Saturday. Svensson and the Sounders return to MLS action on Saturday, March 30, at the Vancouver Whitecaps (7 p.m. PT; JOEtv, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
