Seattle Sounders forward Raúl Ruidíaz started and went the full 90 minutes for Peru on Tuesday in a 1-1 draw with the United States in an international friendly at Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, Conn. Josh Sargent opened the scoring for the U.S. in the 49th minute before Peru’s Edison Flores equalized in the 86th.
Ruidíaz also started and played 85 minutes on Oct. 12 in a 3-0 Peru win over Chile at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Garden, Fla. Ruidíaz joined Gustav Svensson (Sweden), Nicolás Lodeiro (Uruguay) and Jordy Delem (Martinique) as Sounders participating in international duty during this window.
The Sounders take on Orlando City SC on Wednesday at Orlando City Stadium (4:30 p.m. PT; JOEtv, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM) before heading to Houston to take on the Dynamo on Sunday (2 p.m. PT; JOEtv, YouTube TV, Univision-Seattle, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
