Seattle Sounders forward Raúl Ruidíaz has made Peru’s final 23-man roster for this summer’s Copa América tournament in Brazil.
Peru is in Group A with hosts Brazil, Venezuela and Bolivia. La Blanquirroja open the group stage against Venezuela on Saturday, June 15, in Porto Alegre (12 p.m. PT). Ruidíaz joins teammates Xavier Arreaga of Ecuador and Nicolás Lodeiro of Uruguay as Sounders competing in Copa América.
Ruidíaz has four goals in 36 caps. He most recently started against Ecuador and Costa Rica in friendlies in November 2018.
Rudíaz has a team-high five goals in just nine matches this season. The Sounders travel to Frisco, Texas, to take on FC Dallas on Saturday (5 p.m. PT; JOEtv, YouTube TV, Univision-Seattle, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
