Major League Soccer has named Seattle Sounders defender Chad Marshall to its Week 28 Team of the Week.
Marshall started at center back in the Sounders' 1-0 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday. He helped shut down Vancouver forwards Nicolas Mezquida and Erik Hurtado and led the club to its first clean sheet in 11 matches.
The honor is Marshall's third of the season. Sounders midfielder Osvaldo Alonso was also named as an honorable mention.
