The Seattle Sounders Leagues Cup journey continues following their latest win over Club Puebla in the competition's quarterfinals.
Despite a hard fought 90 minutes from the Sounders side, the match remained scoreless, leaving the knockout clash to be decided by penalties.
With successful penalty kicks from defender Alex Roldan, defender Jackson Ragen, forward JesĆŗs Ferreira and midfielder Obed Vargas, the Sounders edged Liga MXās Club Puebla in a 4-3 shootout win to advance to the next round of the tournament.
The team will now head to Carson, Calif. on Wednesday, Aug. 27 where they will face LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park at 7:45 p.m. to determine who is more deserving of a spot in the Leagues Cup Finals.
The winner of next Wednesdayās match will advance to the championship on Aug. 31 against the victor of the Inter Miami/Orlando City semifinal. The other side will compete in the third-place match, also scheduled for Aug. 31. The Sounders will have hosting privileges no matter the match they land in. Tickets go on sale on Aug. 22 at 10 a.m. for Season Ticket Members while general on-sale will go live at 3 p.m.
