FIFA will announce the host cities for the 2026 World Cup on Thursday, June 16, set to take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The live televised announcement will air at 2:00 PM PT on FS1, and livestream on fifa.com. Seattle's Bid, built on a commitment to Soccer, Innovation, and Everyone, champions a World Cup vision that's inclusive, sustainable, and celebrates Seattle's rich soccer history.
Fans can join one another to take in FIFA’s live announcement – which has the potential to be a historic moment for not only Seattle, but all of Washington – at one of the establishments listed below, which are hosting official SEA 2026 watch parties. SEA 2026 encourages fans to attend these watch parties and live one of the core tenets of the bid: to centralize and patronize small, local, ground-floor businesses across Washington State.
In addition to televising the announcement, all official watch party locations will raffle tickets to Sounders FC’s match vs. Portland on Saturday, July 9 at Lumen Field, where the Rave Green are unveiling the team’s 2022 Concacaf Champions League banner and officially celebrating the historic tournament victory.
Should Seattle be selected as a host city, a community celebration will be held on the Seattle waterfront later tomorrow evening to allow fans an additional opportunity to celebrate the momentous occasion together. Further details surrounding this celebration will be shared immediately following FIFA’s announcement, if Seattle is among the chosen cities.
