The Seattle Sounders defeated the New England Revolution 3-0 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., on Saturday behind goals from Hassani Dotson, Dejan Joveljić and Paul Arriola.

The Sounders opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Dotson picked up the ball after New England turned it over in their defensive third. The Federal Way, Wash., native had no hesitation, taking a touch before unleashing a fizzing shot from outside the box that found the far bottom corner.

Luca Langoni had a decent chance to equalize in the 33rd minute, but his shot was blocked by a great defensive intervention by Alex Roldan.

The Revs’ best chance of the first half came in first-half stoppage time when Peyton Miller had an opportunity from a tight angle on the end line, but Sounders goalkeeper Andrew Thomas did well to get big and stuff the effort on the doorstep.

Thomas denied Miller again in the 67th minute, when the latter cut inside the right inside of the box and fired a shot that Thomas dove to his right to collect.

Joveljić had a chance to double the advantage in the 70th minute, but his left-footed, one-timed effort on a cutback pass from Arriola went straight to goalkeeper Matt Turner.

Joveljić found his goal just four minutes later when he was on the end of a beautiful Seattle counterattack. Albert Rusnák drove down the right flank before cutting a pass to the top of the box for Arriola, who helped it along to Jovelić on the left side. The Sounders talisman cut the ball to his right to find a sliver of daylight to clip a ball into the far corner past a helpless Turner.

The Sounders slammed the door shut in the 81st minute when Jesús Ferreira, who had come on as a substitute just moments before, played a beautiful cross into the path of an onrushing Arriola, who slotted home his third goal in his last six appearances.

Seattle handed New England just its third defeat at home in 2026. The Sounders finish the match seventh in the Western Conference with 41 points from 28 matches.

The Sounders will remain on the road before heading to Frisco, Texas, on Wednesday for a midweek clash against the West’s second-place team in FC Dallas (5:30 p.m. PT; Apple TV).

THREE TAKEAWAYS

Nine unbeaten

The Sounders extended their unbeaten run to nine (4-0-5) on Saturday, including picking up their fourth consecutive victory. After wins over struggling Western Conference sides Real Salt Lake, Minnesota United and Sporting Kansas City, Seattle made a statement across the league with a massive cross-conference away win over one of the East’s best clubs.

Welcome back, Deki

After missing the previous three matches while away with Serbia on international duty, Joveljić got right back on the score sheet in the second half to record his fourth goal in five matches since joining the Sounders in a blockbuster intra-league move this summer.

Dotson delivers

Dotson found the back of the net in his second straight appearance after scoring against his former club Minnesota United on Sept. 26. He now has three goals and an assist in 20 MLS matches this season.
