The Seattle Sounders drew the Portland Timbers 2-2 at Lumen Field on Saturday. Raúl RuidÃaz and Léo Chú scored in the first half for Seattle, while Dairon Asprilla and Evander tallied for Portland in the second half.
RuidÃaz opened the scoring in the ninth minute when he headed in a flicked-on header from Jackson Ragen off a corner kick. The goal was RuidÃaz’s fifth on the season.

The Timbers thought they had pulled one back in the 40th minute when Felipe Mora had a close-range header that seemed destined for the net, but João Paulo headed it off the line.
Portland got a lifeline in the 53rd minute when Chú was sent off after receiving his second yellow card of the match.
The Timbers halved the deficit in the 67th minute when Asprilla scored on a header at the far post just moments after entering as a substitute.
