Following the team’s first match in the Desert Diamond Cup, Seattle Sounders FC met NASL side Minnesota United FC in a friendly match on Thursday morning. The Sounders starting XI featured players who did not start in the club’s match against FC Tucson.
Sounders forward Kenny Cooper opened the scoring in the 45th minute, only to have Minnesota United and USMNT player Miguel Ibarra equalize five minutes later. The match resulted in the Rave Green’s first draw of its 2015 preseason campaign.
