- Head Coach Brian Schmetzer makes three changes from the lineup that lost to LAFC in the Open Cup Semifinals. Josh Atencio, Pedro de la Vega, and Stefan Frei replace Andrew Thomas, João Paulo and Obed Vargas.
- This is the second time the two teams will face each other this year across all competitions. The Sounders defeated the Timbers 2-1 on May 12 with goals from Cristian Roldan and Raúl Ruidíaz
- Saturday's match also reignites the 2024 Cascadia Cup race. Vancouver currently sits in first place in the standings with seven points, with Seattle in second with four points and Portland in last with three points.
