Head Coach Brian Schmetzer names his lineup for tonight's rivalry match against the Portland Timbers (7:25 p.m. PT; ESPN, ESPN Deportes, 93.3 KJR FM, El Rey 1360AM) at Providence Park. Here is the Delta Starting XI:

LINEUP NOTES:

  • Coach Schmetzer is deploying a 5-3-2 formation with no changes to the Starting XI from last Friday’s 3-3 draw at LA Galaxy.
  • With ninth-place Seattle and 10th-place Portland even on 33 points, a win for either team would vault them above the playoff line for the time being. Just six points separate fifth place and 11th place in the Western Conference, with a full slate of MLS action ahead this weekend.
  • Tonight marks the 116th all-time meeting between the two sides dating back to 1975, with Seattle leading the series 56-44-15.
