- Saturday's match is the second 2026 Cascadia Cup fixture for Sounders FC, a regional competition played between Seattle, Portland and Vancouver. Whitecaps FC currently leads the standings with six points (2-0-0), with Portland in second with three points (1-2-0) and Seattle in third with zero points (0-1-0).
- Sounders FC has won 99 regular-season road matches since it joined MLS in 2009, the most of any team in that span.
- Nouhou made his 300th all-competitions appearance for Seattle in its match on July 22 against Austin. The standout defender originally signed with Seattle in 2017 after joining the organization via Sounders FC 2.
- Brian Schmetzer currently has 148 regular-season wins since taking over the club in the summer of 2016. He is looking to become the ninth coach in MLS history to reach 150 regular-season wins.
