Following his participation with Peru at this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia, Seattle Sounders forward Raúl Ruidíaz will represent the Blanquirroja at two friendlies during the upcoming international break. Peru will play at the Netherlands on Sept. 6 before visiting Germany on Sept. 9.
Ruidíaz has four goals in 31 caps for Peru, including two during this past World Cup. He has been a revelation for the Sounders since signing this summer, scoring two goals and adding an assist while helping lead Seattle to a club-record six consecutive victories.
Ruidíaz is joined by fellow MLS players Yoshi Yotún of Orlando City SC and Andy Polo of the Portland Timbers, who will host the Sounders on Sunday (6:30 p.m. PT; FS1, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
