It's been a pretty solid week for Sounders FC midfielder Marco Pappa.
The Guatemalan scored Seattle's only goal in its 1-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids in the week and topped it off with an equalizing effort against the New York Red Bulls on Sunday.
His right-footed wonder-shot against the Rapids has been nominated for the MLS AT&T Goal of the Week (VOTE HERE), an honor any goal-scorer would be proud of. But to top it, Mr. Marco has been named to the MLS Team of the Week, which is literally the pinnacle of weekly accolades in the North American game. Wow.
For your review, you'll find his goal below. It was a nice one.
In addition, the @LIVESounders goal call, a video mash-up of both strikes...AND...wait for it...reaction from the man himself on his stellar week. Congratulations Marco, you've earned this article on SoundersFC.com the way few others could.
What a strike! Definitely worth of a Goal of the Week nod.
