Head-To-Head: This is the first of three meetings between Seattle and Colorado. The second match will be August 30 at CenturyLink Field and the series will conclude on October 5 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
All-Time Series: Sounders FC holds an 8-2-2 edge in regular season play, but the last match was a 5-1 Rapids win at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on October 5, 2013. Prior to that, Seattle had won seven straight matches between the two clubs. Sounders FC did come back and oust Colorado from the 2013 MLS Cup Playoffs in the Knockout Round with a 2-0 win at CenturyLink Field.

Key Player: Deshorn Brown has just one goal through his first six matches this season, but the second-year forward is poised to add to that goal total. Last year, he was hot and cold against Seattle, scoring two goals in one match and being shut down entirely in the other. He finished his rookie season with 10 goals and finished second in MLS Rookie of the Year voting.
