All three of Evans’ assists came on set pieces, with the first coming on a corner kick and the next two coming off of free kicks. Now with five assists on the season, he matched his career high, previously set in 2011 and 2013.

What You Missed: Sounders FC midfielder Marco Pappa missed the match while away on international duty with Guatemala at the Copa Centroamericana. Playing in the first match of the tournament, Pappa scored both goals in a 2-1 win over El Salvador at RFK Stadium. In 32 caps for Guatemala, Pappa now has eight goals and each of his last three have come at RFK Stadium.
So What: Sounders FC extended its lead in the Supporters’ Shield and Western Conference standings with the club’s third consecutive victory. Seattle is now five points clear of the LA Galaxy and D.C.
