Site: CenturyLink Field
Records: Sounders FC (6-2-1, 19 points); Union (1-4-5, 8 points)

Man of the Match: Chad Marshall blocked nearly every shot taken within a few yards of him, finishing the match with most of Seattle's eight blocks in the match. That he scored the game-winning goal off a Marco Pappa corner kick in the 84th minute just made his stellar defensive performance that much more impressive. The Seattle center back now has one goal and two assists in the last three matches.

Telling Stat: 10. Sounders FC has earned 10 points when coming back from an early deficit with three wins over FC Dallas, Chivas USA and Philadelphia and a draw with the Portland Timbers. Sigi Schmid has praised the club's character all season and that was prevalent in Seattle's fourth consecutive victory.

What You Missed: Brad Evans has always been praised for his versatility. On Saturday, that was on display in the second half when he moved from the right side of midfield to left back after Dylan Remick was forced out of the match with an injury in the 51st minute. Sigi Schmid had defensive options on his bench, but with Seattle trailing 1-0 opted for a more attacking approach to the substitution when he brought Marco Pappa in for the injured left back and shifted Evans to the back line.

So What: With the win, Sounders FC remains unbeaten in the last five matches at 4-0-1 and jumps ahead of Real Salt Lake, who momentarily held the best record in MLS with 17 points. It's the start of a busy week for Seattle, though, with a match on Wednesday against FC Dallas, then a cross-country flight to face the New England Revolution on May 11.
