Man of the Match: Obafemi Martins. Seattle needed a second-half goal and Martins set up two of them. He found Lamar Neagle for the equalizer on a cross from the right side in the 62nd minute, then Kenny Cooper in the 88th minute for the game-winning tally. Martins now leads MLS with six assists on the year.

Telling Stat: 16. Sounders FC has now earned 16 points with goals scored after the 80th minute, with five wins and a draw in those six matches.

What You Missed: Cooper, who has played most of his MLS career with FC Dallas, did not celebrate after scoring the dramatic game-winner out of respect to his former club. It was his third goal of the season and second against a former club after he netted his second goal of the year in the third minute of Seattle's 4-4 draw with the Portland Timbers on April 5.

So What: Sounders FC ended its three-match home stand with a fifth consecutive overall victory to extend its lead in the Western Conference to five points. Seattle now goes on the road to face the New England Revolution on Sunday in the last match before losing Clint Dempsey and possibly Brad Evans and DeAndre Yedlin to national team duty while the U.S. prepares for the World Cup. Training camp starts on May 14.
