RENTON, WASH. –  Following its 1-0 loss to the LA Galaxy last weekend, Seattle Sounders FC returns home to take on Eastern Conference side CF Montréal on Saturday, April 6 on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field (7:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, 950 KJR AM, SiriusXM FC, El Rey 1360 AM).
Seattle and Montréal have played nine times in the regular season since the Canadian side joined MLS in 2012, with Montréal holding a 6-2-1 advantage in those contests. The two clubs most recently faced off in 2022 at Lumen Field, a 2-1 win for Montréal.
Since the Rave Green joined MLS in 2009, no Western Conference team has amassed more points against Eastern Conference sides in the regular season, with Seattle gaining 245 points from such opponents.
Following Saturday’s matchup, Seattle hits the road to take on Western Conference rival FC Dallas on Saturday, April 13 at Toyota Stadium (5:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
ALUMNI OF THE MATCH
As part of celebrating its 50th anniversary this season, the club is honoring a team alumnus every home match. Saturday's alumni is James Riley, who played for the club from 2009-2011, winning three U.S. Open Cups with Seattle. Riley now coaches local USL League Two squad Ballard FC.
