It's that time of year again!
The sun is shining, the soccer ball is rolling and the goals have been scored. It also means that the yearly incarnation of the MLS All-Star Game is nearly upon us, with this year's tilt being held at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, the home of the Colorado Rapids (the team the Sounders FC just beat on Wednesday). The opponent this year? Tottenham Hotspur, the very team Seattle played last season in a mid-season friendly.
Oh, and former Sounder DeAndre Yedlin plays there now! Yay DeAndre!
As it is every season, the Sounders have a solid list of players up for selection with the afore-pictured Nigerian goal machine Obafemi Martins leading the way.
Joining him are Swiss shot-stopper Stefan Frei, American centerback best buds Brad Evans and Chad Marshall, midfield dynamos Ozzie Alonso, Gonzalo Pineda and Marco Pappa...and of course the one and only Clinton Drew Dempsey. Quite the heathly pool to choose from there, Sounders fans.
There are a few ways for you to vote that our friends @MLS have laid out for you below in this handy tweet and link. Have a look-see and get those posts in to get our guys out there.
Midfielder Alonso is going for his fifth All-Star Game as a Sounder, something that would be quite the accomplishment. On the flip side of that, Evans is looking for his first nod in a year that he shifted to the backline. Would be a huge accomplishment. So get those votes in and help our guys.
Which Sounder most deserves to go to the 2015 MLS All-Star Game?
